A facelift procedure can tighten sagging muscles of the face and tighten up loose skin around the neck, as well as remove excess fat, leaving you with a rejuvenated appearance and smoother-looking skin. Our team is here to help you achieve the facial appearance goals you’ve always wanted, and we look forward to getting to know you and your specific needs during your consultation. Perhaps more importantly than providing you with a more youthful appearance, facelifts can be the key to renewed self-confidence.
Some of our facelift patients have shared their stories with us. Please feel free to listen to them talk about their experiences at The Facial Center to get a better understanding of how facelift surgery can be helpful for you.
It can be difficult when you don’t feel like you anymore because of sagging skin, visible jowling, or deep folds around your nose or mouth. Luckily, facelifts offer a solution to these problems that threaten your sense of self-image and confidence. Our doctors are highly trained and skilled at performing facelifts and work hard to make sure you are well-informed throughout every step of the process and that your treatment goes as comfortably as possible. Your cosmetic surgery experts at The Facial Center are here to help.
When you come to our office and talk with either Dr. Krajekian or Dr. Brock, we will discuss the concerns you are having regarding facial skin and features and establish a care plan that is right for you. If it is decided that a facelift will provide you with the results you are looking for, then we will schedule a date for surgery, and you will be given detailed pre- and post-operative instructions, which you must follow very closely.
When you arrive the day of your facelift surgery, your choice of anesthesia will be administered in the safety and comfort of our office, and the procedure will begin. Depending on the extent of treatment outlined during the consultation, incisions will be made in the hairline at the temples and continue around the ear, ending at the lower scalp. Fat may be sculpted or redistributed, underlying tissue is repositioned, and deeper layers of the face and muscles are also lifted. When the procedure is complete, the skin is placed back over the newly uplifted facial contours and excess skin is trimmed away. The incisions are stitched or taped closed, and your recovery begins.
You can expect some slight discomfort following your surgery. This can range anywhere from mild pain, swelling, bruising, or numbness. You will have been given detailed post-operative instructions, which you should follow closely and carefully to ensure you have a speedy and smooth recovery. We will schedule several follow-up appointments with you to assess healing and monitor your progress. If you received stitches, your doctor will remove them about a week after surgery.
