About Fractional CO₂ laser

What To Expect During Your Treatment

The Consultation


Here, one of our highly certified and trained surgeons will discuss the results that you want with your skin and how to best obtain them. If fractional CO₂ laser treatment is best for you, we will establish a date for your procedure and provide you with pre- and post-procedure instructions, which you are expected to read carefully and follow closely.

The Procedure


When you arrive at our practice the day of your treatment, you will be greeted by our staff and taken to the proper room to for your face to be numbed, which ensures you will experience minimal to no pain during the procedure. From then, our team of specialists will use the fractional CO₂ laser to remove dead layers of skin tissue and remove the damaged spots of skin on your face while you are at ease and relaxed. The procedure itself will last anywhere from 20 to 45 minutes.

Recovery


A soothing cream will be applied to your face to aid in the recovery and moistening of your skin cells. You can expect your face to be red and feel like a sunburn. From there, you will be instructed to follow the directions in your post-procedure instructions to avoid direct sunlight for about one week and follow-up with our team to be sure your skin is healing properly. Your skin will remain red as it heals for several days and when the faulty, dead layer of skin peels away, you will be left with a rejuvenated, glowing complexion that you will absolutely love.
