Brow Lift

Also known as a forehead lift, brow lifts smooth wrinkles and tackles excess or sagging skin to produce a more youthful look.

Why brow lifts?

A brow lift is intended to smooth wrinkles and lines to create a younger appearance. A brow lift is also known as a forehead lift because it specifically addresses the upper third of the face, not including the area surrounding the eyes. If you’re unhappy with your appearance because of sagging or excess skin, deepening of lines, or an increased number of wrinkles, a brow lift may be the solution for your needs.

What is the brow lift process?

When you undergo a brow lift, your doctor will reduce the depth of the lines between your eyebrows, reposition the eyebrows, and smooth excessive forehead wrinkles. These combined steps will help reduce the signs of aging and create a more youthful look. In some situations, you may undergo a brow lift in conjunction with another treatment, such as a facelift or eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty).

Before you undergo any surgery, however, you must first attend a consultation at our office. We will thoroughly examine your skin and face before developing a customized treatment plan to fit your needs. Your doctor will discuss all of your options with you, including whether or not they think you should undergo any additional treatment to achieve the desired results.

Most often, brow lifts are performed under IV sedation, which allows you to sleep through the procedure and wake up only once it’s over. Once your sedation has taken effect, your doctor will make small, precise incisions along the hairline using an endoscope. These small incisions allow him to carefully lift the underlying facial tissue with very minimal scarring after recovery. If there is any excess skin, it will be removed before you are stitched up.
