Rejuvenate Your Skin
Some of the most commonly recognized cosmetic treatments are injectables. The term “injectables” refers to various solutions that are injected under the skin’s surface to provide a rejuvenated look. There are several types of injectables; the most common are BOTOX® and JUVÉDERM®.
BOTOX® stands for botulinum toxin and is the most popular treatment for reducing wrinkles in a safe and effective procedure. Medical practitioners inject this purified protein toxin into problem areas, causing the facial muscles to relax. The procedure takes only minutes, but the effects of BOTOX® typically last around three or four months.
JUVÉDERM® is a dermal filler that can minimize deep facial wrinkles, creating a softer and more youthful appearance. It’s composed of a high concentration of hyaluronic acid (HA), a natural substance that occurs in the body and attracts moisture. JUVÉDERM® is typically used to reduce fine lines and wrinkles around the mouth (smile lines) and reveals immediate results that can last up to six months without requiring another injection.
JUVÉDERM® has several products available — including Ultra, Vollure, Voluma, Volbella — each of which is intended to treat a specific area, line, or wrinkle depth, and all of which last between 6–12 months depending on the exact formula.
Kybella® uses synthetic deoxycholic acid to destroy fat cells underneath the chin reducing the fullness that some refer to as “double chin”. It is a treatment that stops the cells from being able to store or accumulate fat in this area of the face. The amount of treatments required is on an individual basis based on the amount of fat under the chin and the achievable look. Only a Kaybella®-trained specialist can administer the injections and they will help decide how many injections are needed for the desired results.
Bellafill is an FDA-approved filler that’s used to treat the smile lines that come down from the side of the nose to the corners of the mouth. It can also be used to treat acne scars. Bellafill is made of a collagen gel and PMMA microspheres and delivers noticeable results for up to five years.
A PRP (plasma-rich platelet) facelift uses an innovative scientific procedure to address collagen. This process can restore facial shape and improve the tone of the skin on the face using your body’s own platelets. This therapy can also reduce fine lines and wrinkles, minimize scars, and improve skin texture.
